Dome Nut

Hex dome nuts or acorn nuts got their names due to the dome-shaped projection on one side of the nut. This is mostly used to protect objects close to the ends of screws from scratches and structural injuries. It also reduces the effects of physical mishaps on human skin if it somehow forcefully hits the fasteners. The external threads of the screws inserted into these nuts are securely enclosed within the dome. In addition to the protection it offers, these nuts provide the structure an aesthetically pleasing look.

Flange Nut

These flange nuts have serrations that grip the material surface instead of the threads for easy installation and mild vibration resistance. The flange distributes pressure where the nut meets the material surface, eliminating the need for a separate washer. Made from Grade 5 steel, they’re suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment. A zinc plating provides corrosion resistance in wet environments.

Hex Nut

Hex nuts have an interior thread that is used to screw the nut onto a hex bolt with matching thread. The use of hex nuts provides a strong, secure join with the bolt that is able to withstand high wear, stress and strain. As a result, hex nuts and bolts are used in many industrial applications that require a strong join that will hold under high wear, movement and heavy loads. Common uses include machinery, engines, motors, industrial equipment and furniture.

NyLock Nut

Nylon Insert Locknuts have a nylon ring that when tightened on a bolt, resists loosening under all types of vibrations and torque. Ther are available in a variety of sizes and materials including low and medium carbon, heat treatable steel grades, including non-ferrous materials.

Square Nut

Square nuts and hex square nuts have four equal sides. These nuts have a flat bottom side and a chamfered top-side and can be used in a channel or welded in place. Square nuts are still common, but widely replaced by hex nuts.

Wing Nut

Wing nuts have wing a shaped protrusion designed for speed and convenience that are tightened and loosened by hand. Wing nuts are ideal in speedy marine applications where it is harder to use tools in any kind of intricate work on the open sea.

Kep Nut

Kep Nuts, also called a K-nut, are hex head nuts with a pre-assembled, free spinning external tooth lockwasher. These are used for a more convenient assembly. Kep nuts eliminate the need for separate nut-side washers. They provide a locking action into the surface they are being applied to because they “bite” into the surface while torquing. They are strong and ideal for connections that may need to be removable.

Long Nut

Long Nuts are used to join two externally threaded objects, usually threaded rod, together. They are available to couple two or more studs of different diameters together.

Tee Nut

Tee Nuts are internally threaded barrel-shaped fasteners with 3, 4 or 6 prongs extending from a flat base. Primarily used for fastening metal to wood, particle board or plastic products, Tee-nuts put steel threads into pre-drilled wood without counter boring.
